Meet the characters:

Casey:

Our very own protagonist. Casey's a half monster half human who was accepted in the university. We don't really know their real name, Phoebe named them that way at the very first day of school. They liked it so much, that they made it their own!

Phoebe:

As our Patron Saint, Phoebe is THE gal you wanna get on your side. Lucky for you, she is really friendly. Like, REALLY friendly. She volunteered to be your roommate and get you settled in, and does everything she can to make sure you both have the best college experience at Freakaversity. She's studying agronomic engineering with a side of astrology, and loves all things related to plants and gardening.

Bayley:

This werewolf jock is just an all round great guy. He stands up for the things he believes in, and likes to go with the flow. He's the soccer team's star player, here on a soccer scholarship while he studies architecture on the side. He's not always the smartest guy in the room, but he's always the most supportive. He could rival Phoebe in how easily excitable he is, and he just loves having a good time and living in the moment.

Siegfried:

As someone with direct family lines to the founders of Freakaversity, Sieggy is a snarky, rude and intolerant brat. As a young vampire, he's very confident in his abilities and holds his heritage in high regard- that is, until he's forced to work with 'lesser' creatures like Casey. Eventually, he starts to control his temper and becomes more pleasant to be around, eventually deciding to start focusing more on his studies- he's majoring in medicine!

Gee:

The older of the zombie twins, Gee (and her brother Bee) are old friends of Siegfried. Gee has a sweet tooth, and is always down to plan a heist of some kind. She can be a little bossy, and is less likely to put up with Sieggy's crap compared to her brother.

Bee:

The younger of the zombie twins, Bee (and his sister Gee) are old friends of Siegfried. Bee is into science, and enjoys whipping up new potions and seeing what they do. A bit of an understated genius in that department, but his chilled out demeanour and casual way of talking don't give that away.

Ursula:

Even if her appearance reminds you of her cousin Phoebe, don't let it fool you. She's angry, and full of resentment. Or that's what she wants you to think...

Principal:

This suave Satyr is the principle of Freakaversity. He's no stickler for tradition; in fact, he's fairly open minded and trying to modernise the university- but he has quite the temper if you piss him off.

Albatros:

Casey's distant ancestor, a ghost that haunts the campus as one of the founders of Freakaversity. Though he was exiled by monster kind, he always has a soft spot for them, and hopes Casey will grow to appreciate them too.

Prof. May:

An epic astrophysicist, and even better guitarist- Prof. May is THE professor you want this semester. Though, she's incredibly adventurous and rarely seems to be around these days.. Wonder what she's been up to?

This is such a fun experience! The art is pretty and expressive, and the voice acting really brings life to the characters! I fell in love with Phoebe on like her second line <3 Casey was such a fun protagonist too, I love their dynamic with everyone especially Siegfried!

Random thing in my playthrough, I didn't notice that Casey uses they/them, I was confused when Albatros keep correcting himself I was like 'why won't he say b- OHHHH.'

I really like the setting and worldbuilding in this game, great entry! Thanks for making it!!

Hey! Thank you for your kind words, they're very much apreciated!

It's a very subtle detail, and I'm glad you got to notice it!!

I love phoebe and now I gotta eat more veggies so I can do the neck trick!

“Eat your soup in silence, vampire!” ICONIC!

Her ability to grow muscles is hella admirable too

This is such a fun concept, student vlogs at Freakiversity! (Also love how freaked out Casey looks over everything loooool)

We all have to eat more veggies! Sieggy learnt that the hard way :P

Really glad you enjoyed, thank you for playing!

Man, the characterization is some of the best! They really felt like live characters to me with their own singular personalities and the best was that They all interacted in a very believable way!

The voice overs were really professional and totally enhanced the experience!

The dialogue was quirky and funny, and I love that it really pushed forward references about social media and influencers!

Overall it was a great experience!

So glad you felt that way about it, thank you so much!!!

I enjoyed numerous aspects of this visual novel, including the following: the entire setup, which calls to mind Monsters University, a movie I adore; the wide cast of characters, each with a distinct design and an impressive array of expressions; the moments of exploration; the voice acting; the whole coffee debacle (I know how crucial access to quality coffee can be as someone highly dependent on caffeine); the vampire and his challenges with garlic; the references to bombs from the FF series; the small glimpses of meta; and -- how shall I say this? -- the vibrant surprise that occurs at the end of the story.

I should mention that I sometimes felt like I was playing catch-up and was not getting the inside jokes of this group of friends. However, that's to be expected since I haven't read the prequel. Also, I don't play many Unity games so I couldn't figure out how to access the menu for saving, loading, and other game options. That didn't detract from my experience, though!

Overall, this was super fun and light-hearted and wholesome! A hearty congrats to your team for releasing this cool game!

This is one of the most lovely reviews I've readed, thank you for that!

This game in itself calls to mind many, far too many references, and I sometimes find myself between the sword and the wall, trying to scape them, but in the end it's like, yeah well, it's for the sillies! lol

As for the inside jokes, yes, I tried to make it as friendly to new players as posible, hope that didn't detract you from the experience that much!

As for the Unity interface, well, it's another world. Our programmer managed to come up with a saving system, which consisted on the X you can see above. It basically quits the game and saves the nearest saving point you accesed, for you to continue from there when you open it again. Other than that, there's no menu or save files, as that doesn't come stock in Unity. Glad, however, that it didn't get that much in the way!

Again, thank you so much for playing and for the kind review!!!

"McTagonist is right for once"

Freak yeah, I loved re-visiting the Freakaversity and meeting all the lovely characters again! Everyone did an amazing job in the VA department bringing this characters to live! Oh the art looks absolutely stunning and fits perfectly for the mood of the game!

Thank you for making this game! Looking forward to more college adventures next year! :)

Soooo glad you liked it, and so glad to read someone who played the first one as well. Also, good pick with Phoebe and the coffee lol

The VAs TOTTALY nailed it, as well as the art and programming team! Glad it brought out some laughter xD

And haha, we'll see about that :P

This was such a fun read! The characters are so lovable; Phoebe's energy and explosive personality really won me over! It was really funny too, Siegfried's attempt to scare an Italian being my personal highlight. Lots of fun options for dialogue too, I wanna play through it again and try out some different options to see what happens. All in all, a great time perfect for the season!

Hey! Thank you so much for playing!! And also... Siegfried trying to scare the italian is, and should be, everyone's favorite part lol

If I were to give you a suggestion... ask Phoebe for that coffee ;)
